Aims of the Club
To encourage all video camera (camcorder) users to get the most out of their equipment and to encourage editing in all forms - non-linear and analogue.

About the club
This club caters for both local members and correspondent members living in Australia and New Zealand. Monthly video assignments are set for members. These are for a two minute video and a longer video that can be any length up to ten minutes. Video titles are given for both assignments.
The two minute videos are judged at the monthly meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month and a mark of 12 or more ensures a certificate and a step up the grading ladder. While this sounds to be a monthly competition, it isn't. No other member knows the score of any entry. The videos are a means of learning the principals of video making in a challenging way. The longer video, or "clip" is not judged, it is made to a pre-determined subject, it is for entertainment. Both video makers and viewers enjoy the assignments.

A workshop is conducted for members.  The workshop is for
the growing number of NLE enthusiasts. This morning workshop is conducted at a different location and on a different edit system each month.

Two club meetings are held each month. These are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month (including December and January).
The club meets at the Mudgeeraba Primary School on Old Coach Road, Mudgeeraba at 7.15 p.m. The meetings usually don't finish until after 10.00 p.m.

A regular magazine known as Video Klips is published on the web site monthly and as well as advising of club activities and happenings, gives tips and instruction too.

An outing is usually arranged every month, this is as much a social occasion as an opportunity for enthusiasts to use their cameras. We have a lot of fun on these trips.
We have even been known to book three or four rooms and fill them with club members for up to a week in various locations on the East Coast of Australia.
There is one major club competition held in April/May each year which is known as the Alvin Award. A clay sculpture of "Alvin" is the trophy and is very much treasured by the winner.
